Join us to watch a performance or share the spotlight!

The Kate is dedicated to bringing quality arts and culture to patrons of all ages, but special care is given to our youngest audience members. Children build skill, confidence, and appreciation for the arts during summer and after school sessions of Kate’s Camp for Kids. Tweens and teens go behind the scenes and learn the technical elements of producing a show in Summer Spotlight. Families can enjoy a great afternoon of theater specifically designed for young viewers in the Children’s Series. Young thespians take the stage during residencies by Missoula Children’s Theatre which produces a fun, high energy musical on the Kate stage twice a year.

Whether it’s in the audience or on the stage, an adventure awaits at the Kate!

Katharine Hepburn Cultural Arts Center Scholarship

The Kate is very proud to announce the inaugural Katharine Hepburn Cultural Arts Center Scholarship. The scholarship was established in honor of our 10th year anniversary and serves to annually recognize a high school student residing in Old Saybrook who has demonstrated participation in and an appreciation for the arts (performance, visual, or literary arts).

Congratulations to our 2020 recipients, Margaret Maselli and Timothy Thomas! Download our full press release here.
