The SpeakEasy Method: Public Speaking Course for Adults

Start Date: March 6, 2023 (Mondays & Wednesdays 7pm-9pm for 8 Classes plus Final Class - April 3rd)

Have you spent more time in your life as a listener rather than a speaker?
Have your creative ideas and inspiring stories remained locked away because of your fear of presenting in front of any size group?

The SpeakEasy Method will change that and give you the jumpstart you need to finally face your fear of public speaking, harness your nervous energy, and start you on your way to become an engaging, relatable presenter in all areas of your life. Through the combination of a relaxed social gathering, interactive exercises, games and casual informative speeches, you will realize that your long-time fear of presenting in front of a group was unfounded. You will finally be able to change the way you think about sharing your ideas with your friends, your company, your community, and the world!

Registration fee is $150 (financial assistance is available for high school students based on need; email for guidelines). Class size is limited to 14.

The founder of The SpeakEasy Method, Terri Corigliano has been a teacher for over 30 years, most recently at Quinnipiac University as an Adjunct Professor for 10 years. She is a lawyer, voiceover artist, a member of SAG-AFTRA actors union and founder of The Saybrook Stage Company in Old Saybrook, CT. Terri’s unique approach to teaching public speaking over the years has been an inspiration to countless students -- and now she wants to share that experience with you.

"I would highly recommend ANY and EVERY student to take this course. It is something that we can all work on as a society. I truly wish I took this course earlier in my schooling, but am grateful that I did."

"Public speaking was a new experience for me. I was really out of my comfort zone and although I was extremely nervous to take this class I am so glad I stuck with it. My confidence has definitely improved by taking this class and I now believe in myself more than I ever have."

This is a "Saybrook Stage Gives Back" program with all proceeds benefiting the Kate.
