Laughs will be abundant as the Best of the Boston Comedy Festival returns to the Kate.  Each year, the Festival brings in the best of the best in a weekend festival in Boston, and then they send some of the best down to Old Saybrook to take the stage at the Kate. 

Headliner 

Andrew Donnelly is known for film roles in Feeding Mr. Baldwin, Dads and The longest journey .

The 46 year-old comedian talks about the frustration and shame of battling ADD and depression while trying to be a good husband and father.

His comedy is comes to life with his off-kilter approach to topics, a great sense of the moment and a fearlessness to embrace the setting and the crowd, no matter the circumenstance. Donnelly is a skilled off-the-cuff performer, always ready with a slew of hilarious tangents. Donnelly has numerous television appearances, including The Office, Late Friday, Premium Blend, The Late Late Show, The Life & Times of Tim and Important Things with Demetri Martin. 

Host Bethany Van Delft 

Bethany was awarded Best of Boston 2020 by Boston Magazine.

Bethany Van Delft has appearances on Comedy Central and 2 Dope Queens podcast. Every year Bethany has become one of the Boston Comedy Festivals' top and most requested comedians! She is a regular host for The Moth StorySlams & Grand Slams, and her own Moth mainstage story.

Casey McNeal is a Boston comedian and humorist. Often described as "Addicted to Disorders," he regularly brings his mental rants to Clubs throughout New England and New York.

He was a Finalist in the “NBC Tonight Show Comedy Challenge,” and has appeared in the “Boston Comedy Festival,” the “NY Underground Comedy Festival” and “Last Comix Standing”

Will Smalley

Comedian Will Smalley has readily established himself as a powerful LGBT voice in the comedy scene. A purveyor of the silly-arts and dude-lover extraordinaire, Will is a former finalist in the Boston Comedy Festival and was most recently featured in the Bridgetown Comedy Festival in Portland, OR. Will is a mainstay at the major comedy clubs and colleges across the Northeast. In addition to stand-up comedy, Will currently serves as the announcer for Old School Game Show at American Repertory Theater’s Oberon venue and has performed at Mysterylands Festival in New York.
