More than a year ago there was a fund-raising auction held in Old Saybrook with just amazing items for sale concerning Katharine Hepburn.

Included was a bracelet Hepburn wore in a movie…letters from her, memorabilia from Hollywood, the items went on and on and the event was just grand and it raised quite a bit of money to help renovate the theater. See the article in the Maine Antiques Digest.

Included in that auction was this Watercolor done by local Old Saybrook Artist, Katie Beecher. It is Beecher’s rendition of the former Hepburn Mansion in Fenwick. Makes you want to walk around the old place doesn’t it?
